How to Apply

Diagnostic Radiology Residency

For specific eligibility requirements, please refer to the GME benefits, requirements and resources page.

Applications for residency should be submitted through your medical school administration office via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). ERAS can also be reached via e-mail to myeras@aamc.org, by telephone at (202) 828-0413 or by fax at (202) 828-1125.

The ERAS software will transmit your:

  • Application
  • Medical school transcript
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Dean's letter

Once we receive your completed application and relevant documentation from ERAS, our Resident Selection Committee will review your materials. Suitable candidates will then be invited for an interview. For the 2023-2024 interview season, we will be conducting virtual interviews.

We accept six new applicants each year.

Please review our current and previous residents' medical educational backgrounds and graduate destinations.

Should you have any questions or require any additional information, please contact the program administrator.

Programs and Tools that Assist with GME Applications

At the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, we recognize that there are a variety of programs and tools that applicants can and may choose to utilize to develop portions of their GME application, such as the personal statement. We wish to emphasize that the personal statement should reflect an accurate picture of the applicant’s experiences, character, motivations, and qualities. Applicants should include specifics relevant to a medical career, a certain specialty, and a particular program. A genuine and authentic personal statement should be the goal. Most medical schools provide important guidance and resources in writing successful personal statements; we recommend reviewing these tips.
