Thank you for visiting our website. I am excited to serve as chair of radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and lead the department to excellence in our mission to heal, comfort, educate and discover. We seek to provide compassionate care and cutting-edge imaging to enhance patient and population health, excellence in research and quality education to medical students, residents, fellows and technologists at our hospitals and practice sites.

Our department sponsors a four-year, ACGME-accredited diagnostic radiology residency, as well as several fellowships. The information contained on our website is designed to provide a comprehensive view of our department.

It is truly an exciting time to be in the field of radiology. Unprecedented advances in imaging technologies, artificial intelligence, radiogenomics and imaging biomarkers are now mainstream. Radiology is creating an impact to bring about meaningful change in all facets of health care. At the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, as we train and educate the next generation of providers, we never forget the patients and their families behind the images on our screens. The radiologists at UF Health Jacksonville are dedicated to delivering timely, accurate and high-quality reports and we are always available for consultation.

The department provides imaging services at UF Health Jacksonville, a 695-bed tertiary care teaching hospital near downtown; a new state-of-the-art, 100-bed hospital, UF Health North; as well as Emerson Medical Plaza, a multiservice health care center on Jacksonville's Southside.

UF Health Jacksonville offers the region's only Level I adult and pediatric trauma center, a Level III NICU, fully accredited acute stroke center, micro-surgical re-implantation unit and a leading-edge cardiovascular center.

Our department is fully-equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, with multiple Siemens MRI units, including an open MRI at UF Health North, dual-energy CT scanners, ultrasound, SPECT, PET, MR and image-guided interventional procedures — all of which are integrated into our new VISAGE PACS system.

Approximately 350,000 diagnostic imaging examinations are performed annually. Additional affiliated outpatient center studies are interpreted by faculty.

As the premier academic health center in Jacksonville, we are committed to advancing imaging and taking research to the next level and are committed to lowering radiation dose in imaging as part of the ACR registry. Thank you for your interest and we hope you find our site both educational and informative.
